When the Lucid Quality Program officially launched five years ago, no one could have predicted how quickly it would evolve. It’s been thrilling for me to watch this program gain momentum, take flight, and catapult into new territories. Just over a year ago, it was my pleasure to announce the Lucid Quality Program had officially made its international debut, expanding from the US to the UK. Since that time, we’ve begun collecting and reporting on ample quality data in many new regions, including Germany, Australia, and now France.
This is no small achievement.
With France live, Lucid will be reporting on a total of almost 90 supplier scorecards across 5 countries. And, this is just the beginning.
Last month, we began fielding in China, India, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, and Canada. We will stagger publication of these countries over the course of Q3 and early Q4. Finally, Russia and the Netherlands will go in field later this summer, with publication planned for Q4.
By the end of this year, our Quality Program will be live and reported in 15 countries around the globe.
So what does this all mean? As we have evolved the program and expanded geographically, we’ve engineered this growth with the goal of being able to continue to compare results. Already, suppliers are comparable on each of the 3 scores of the program on a country basis. In the very near future, we will be able to better understand trending differences by country, as well as regions. With the help of our international supply partners, the Lucid Quality Program is able to track and report a broader scope of data quality than ever before. As Lucid gains a more comprehensive view of international supply partner quality scores, we can use these insights to strengthen sample quality on a global scale, thereby supporting our greater objective to collectively raise the bar on quality in our industry.
