The Challenge

Hotspex, one of the most innovative insights firms in North America, needed a way to automate sample and put its survey tools in the hands of researchers. To better provide the speed that their previous sample partners couldn’t offer, Hotspex needed to eliminate fielding steps and streamline the research process.

Solution

Hotspex partnered with Lucid to fully integrate and automate their sampling process leveraging Lucid’s Marketplace API. This enabled them to drastically increase the speed with which they could conduct surveys, generating quick insights for new business pitches and existing clients.

Lucid’s platform provided Hotspex with the flexibility to evolve and adapt its templates to provide even more complex and larger queries. This has
enabled Hotspex to expand its product offering and data ranges from a quick brand read or product study into automating advertising testing and emotional analytics.

Additionally, whenever Hotspex required a new piece of technology to aid in a query, Lucid’s development team worked directly with the Hotspex team to create it, or demonstrate the best way of implementing an existing tool to fit Hotspex’s requirements.

The insights generated by integrating with Lucid’s Marketplace API has generated more creativity, with regard to Hotspex’s offerings.

Hotspex has also been able to develop a series of new products, such as a new advertising engagement platform that optimizes media spend. To achieve this, Hotspex used Lucid’s Audience product suite. This tool enabled Hotspex to recruit a specific sample that had been exposed to a set of advertising predetermined by the company’s targeting package.

Pilling continues, “Without being able to rely on Lucid to help us recruit the right people to conduct surveys, Hotspex would not have the white papers and proof that we needed to show that our ad engagement platform was effective.”
